New suppliers for Godly Play materials in the UK

We are delighted to share details of new providers of Godly Play materials in the UK: Jennyruth Workshops, Sew & Grow, and Micah68.  We will be posting more information about ordering from them over the coming weeks.

Godly Play UK and Jennyruth Workshops in Ripon are delighted to announce their partnership in the production of Godly Play materials. At Jennyruth, adults with learning disabilities are encouraged to work independently with self confidence. The materials are responsibly and ethically sourced taking environmental needs into consideration. These values are at the heart of Godly Play. Initially, Jennyruth Workshop will be launching a limited range on their website, which they will add to as soon as stock is made. If there are specific resources anyone would like that are not available online, please do contact Jennyruth Workshops. As soon as we have an online launch date confirmed, we will let everyone know.

Another supplier, Sew & Grow will be selling some of the fabric materials used in Godly Play. Sew & Grow is a creative social enterprise operating under the umbrella of MK Christian Foundation. Their mission is to empower young people from all backgrounds by providing vocational, personal, and educational training in the arts of sewing, dyeing, and textile craftsmanship.
In other good news, Micah68, headed up by Ian White, sources beautiful hand-made Holy Family sets for Godly Play from Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans, which seeks to promote the principles of fair trade and to empower local Palestinian craftspeople. To buy an olive wood Holy Family set is to have a piece of Bethlehem in your hand! For more information, email whitejian@aol.com.
